Tonight I did something I never thought I’d do. I took a Yoga class that is a step up from the one I did on Saturday. The only thing is, I did it by myself (I had a friend with me on Saturday) and I went after an 8 hour work day. I feel so amazing and I’m so proud of myself and my body that I was able to do everything we went through.

I forgot to go the 2nd time around the field to get the 5 miles! I couldn’t keep going though because I’m going to go see The Dark Knight Rises in a little bit, so I had to get home to shower and get ready. I’m proud of myself for actually doing it though. It was hard to get the motivation this morning, but I remembered the quote, “You never regret a workout you do, you only regret those that you don’t.” Definitely worth it today.

Last night was huge for me. I went on a party bus with friends for a 30th birthday party. I had ONE teeeeeeny tiny glass of malibu and diet coke just to do an initial cheers to the birthday boy, but as soon as I took my first sip, I knew I wasn’t drinking anymore. I had no desire to do that to my body after all of the hard work I’ve done. I even pretended to have a saki shot with everyone once we got to the restaurant. I had garlic chicken with the sauce on the side instead of sushi, just like I do with the teriyaki chicken on Sushi Fridays with work.
